Mr. Tabakman has lived in Florida for more than ten years, having relocated from New York, where he was raised in both the fast-paced environment of New York City and Long Island, and the slower, more easy-going upstate region. After graduating from the State University of New York at Binghamton with a B.A. in Political Science, Mr. Tabakman earned a graduate degree in international affairs from the George Washington University in Washington, DC. While in our nation's capital, Mr. Tabakman had the opportunity to serve in The White House, the United States Treasury Department, and the Federal judiciary.
Mr. Tabakman graduated from the University of Florida Levin College of Law in 2001. During his time at UF, he served on the Justice Campbell Thornal Moot Court Team, and he clerked for the Honorable Walter Komanski of the Ninth Judicial Circuit Court in Orlando. Mr. Tabakman's legal experience has allowed him to focus on a broad array of practice areas in state and federal courts. He has litigated on behalf of physicians and hospitals in defending against medical malpractice suits, defended nursing home facilities against nursing home abuse claims, and defended local businesses against personal injury and premises liability lawsuits. He has also been able to counsel clients on their estate planning needs, assist clients with probate matters, and advise clients on their options in bankruptcy court.
Mr. Tabakman has practiced law in the Orlando, Florida area for more than 8 years. He is a is a member of the Florida Bar, the Orange County Bar Association, and the Central Florida Bankruptcy Law Association. He is active with Jewish Family Services of Greater Orlando, the Metropolitan Business Association, and the Dr. Phillips-Metrowest Chamber of Commerce. Mr. Tabakman is admitted to practice in all state and Federal courts in Florida, as well as the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals.
